    @RdC, I have seen that video before, but I will take another look.

    Being as I'm not even a huge fan of shooting in 4K other than if I am doing it for cropping options, 4k isn't the big trump card for me that it is for others, or like the guy who shot that videos implies it might be.

    Actually, my favorite mode for the GH4 is the spectacular 1080p60, 200Mbps All-I. That mode is phenomenal!

    Ok everyone, since it seems a lot of us really like Moon T8, I was just wondering if anyone following this thread had done any detailed comparison of Moon T8 versus GH4? I seem to end up using the GH4 most of the time for several reasons, but every once in a while it is fun to get the GH2 out and play with it. The results are always surprisingly nice, even in SH mode for 60P.

    Is the GH4 just a better camera in every way, or does the GH2 with Moon T8 still have some redeeming value that makes it superior in some way? For now I'm keeping the GH2 for use as my B-cam since I'm selling my Nikon D750, I'm just curious what others think.

    Well, here's my latest Moon T8 work, Takumar 1.4 with Pixco speedbooster and Panasonic 14mm 2.5.

    @dlzn couple of questions... 1.why to put it into 1080p24 timeline if your going to export it to 1080p50? 2.if u want to export in 24p, what is the best method to use to minimize jitter? i'm using adobe premiere

    Hey @Tjabo! Thank you for your compliment. Yes I did. Shot everything in 720p50 and than upscaled it tot 1080p in a 24 frames timeline. And afterwards exported it as 1080p50.

    I totally agree! This hack is my favorite one so far. Great for using during low light shoots as well.

    @dlzn, I love that video! Did you shoot all of it in "SH" mode for the slow motion and then render it out to 1080p50?

    I still prefer Moon T8 to any of the other hacks so far, and this video is a great example of how fantastic it is.

    CREATIVE MOVIE MENU:

    • Cinema - 24H or 24L - 1080p23.976

    • HBR - 1080PsF25/30 (PAL/NTSC)

    • Manual Movie Mode:

      • FSH 1080i25/30

      • FH 1080i25/30 lower bit rate

      • SH 720p50/60

      • H 720p50/60

    And you switch PAL/NTSC at SETUP menu, VIDEO OUT: PAL or NTSC.

    That's it.

    New GH2 User here trying out Driftwood. I guess I will ask this here:

    I'm having trouble finding/switching between 24p/30 and the 60fps setting. Is it under the 'Creative Movie' menu? Right now I am on the 24p/24H setting. Any pointers?

    Thanks @Tjabo! One more question: what is the difference between the stock firmware's SH/60p mode and that of T8?

    @allisoncastle, you are looking for SH mode. I find it to be very nice on moon T8. It is 720P though.

    Hey everyone! Semi-noob here. I hacked my GH2 a couple years ago to get the cinema 24 mode which was great. Now I really need to do some slow-motion shooting which I thought would be possible with T8, i.e. 60 fps. I installed the hack successfully but I see nowhere in the menu options to change the frame rate. Help?! Thanks!!

    I did try only the HBR 30fps and I will probably keep this settings in my camera due personal taste. The only thing is that sometimes you need to restart the camera to playback the video at the LCD, but I consider this as minor issue.

    Using the Moon T8 at night. I've been able to push the iso till 1600 max. I personally think it has done surprisingly well in low light. The only thing is the dynamic range isn't that wide for grading afterwards. But overall this is now my 1st choice and go-to hack.

    @mariocons, very interesting! Have you tried the SH mode? I am very happy with it in Moon T8.

    BTW, I have a GH4, and I am selling my D750. I think between the GH2 with Moon T8 and the GH4, I just can't really justify keeping the D750. Maybe for a dedicated stills camera, but I'm not sure... The GH4 and even the GH4 even do great for stills with proper lighting.

    One thing I noticed is that, under the same settings and light condition, the files with 24fps were very noisy. When I tryied to shoot in 30fps, I was very surprised by the clean and sharp images. I have no idea of the reason, but the difference is absolutely noticeable. Even having a Nikon D750, I will still keep the GH2, due its light weight and performance, even in low light conditions.

    @marciocons, that is cool to hear you shot it in 30fps! I never even tried the 30fps in Moon T8 because of how bad my luck was using 30fps in Moon T7. I will pull the GH2 back off the shelf and give that a try!! :-)

    @Tjabo, I shot in 30 fps. I just added a 70s filter in FCPX, without noise reduction, even for the night shots with ISO 1250/ 1600.

    @marciocons, beautiful image quality in that video! Moon T8 is my favorite GH2 hack.

    Did you shoot this in 24H? And what post processing was necessary?
