What do we know about the novel coronavirus?

  • Doctors in the UK have launched a clinical trial to see whether the cheap and widely available BCG vaccine can boost the immune system enough to prevent healthcare workers from catching coronavirus.

The Bacillus Calmette–Guérin (BCG) vaccine is given to protect people from tuberculosis, but studies suggest that it stimulates broader immune responses that help the body keep other infections at bay.

Researchers at Exeter University are enrolling up to 2,000 community healthcare workers, particularly from care homes and GP surgeries, including nurses, caterers and administration staff, for the UK arm of the international Brace trial, which is recruiting 10,000 volunteers worldwide

It is just little fun, famous fake press during spring just mixed idea that BCG vaccine helps with dirt. Now they go reverse.

  • In a video shot outside the White House, Trump credited the Regeneron therapy for his feeling much better than when he was first diagnosed and said he would push for EUAs of that treatment and others like it. He mistakenly said the drug was called Regeneron.

Regeneron’s drug is a cocktail of two monoclonal antibodies - manufactured copies of antibodies that are one of the main weapons the immune system generates to fight infections.

The company said on Wednesday that it has submitted a request to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for an emergency use authorization (EUA) for its antibody combination.

The company so far has released some early data pointing to the promise of its therapy for COVID-19, and doctors were concerned Trump’s treatment and subsequent promotion could put pressure on regulators.

Top U.S. infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, speaking on Monday on CNN, said he was “strongly suspicious” that Regeneron’s drug has contributed to Trump’s progress. “Obviously you can’t prove that until you do a number of studies to show that it actually works,” he said.

Trump always had been good showman. And Fauci be better off with his mouth shut tightly.

It is nice to understand how Moore feels and that he already said about Trump.

So all last paragraph is pure fantasy strangely matching mainstream media.

  • from Michael Moore Oct 5, 2020:

Awaiting the daily Parade of Quacks outside Walter Reed. Quacks? Yes. A doctor who lies - including lies of omission - is a quack. Trump’s two main doctors — Navy Commander Sean Conley and Colonel Sean Dooley — are military and thus take their orders from the Commander in Chief. He’s stage managing all of this.

    • Still, these doctors have produced:
    • NO medical charts
    • NO medical records
    • NO x-rays or CT scans
    • NO date of when he last tested negative
    • NO proof he has Covid
    • NO proof of anything

I am not a doctor, but after studying the available information, here’s what is possible: Trump may have contracted COVID-19 a few days before the Rose Garden Supreme Court packing event. He was asymptomatic at the time - and those are the days one is most contagious. He knew he had it before the debate, that’s why he didn’t show up for - and refused - the Covid testing that the Debate Commission required just hours before the debate. The following day, Wednesday, a press pool reporter said Trump fell asleep on the plane. “He NEVER falls asleep when traveling domestically in Air Force One.” Whatever doctor knew he was positive and let him be in contact with others must have his license stripped. The symptoms they’ve admitted to Trump having Thursday night means that he was infected 5 to 7 days before that — and carried it wherever he went. We are being played. We are not being given the truth. Doctors contradicting each other. One stunt after another. It isn’t working. The majority of the country isn’t buying it. Let’s have another Trump Parade around the hospital! This time throw candy out of the SUV window!
  • $1 billion in Pentagon coronavirus aid went to contractors. The major stimulus bill passed in March, the CARES Act, provided $1 billion in funding for the Pentagon to use towards responding to the pandemic. Instead of using the money to procure medical equipment, the majority of the funds went to defense contractors for military equipment.

From this "full corp" of doctors only 2-3 actually interacted with Trump. And as far as I understand leading doctor that Trump selected was not professional in this field. So Trump just used doctors to make it all look nice and clean.

I am not even talking that press events with this doctors had been extremely weird.

  • you think his full corp of doctors is lying ? Vitaliy....a point, if I dare. There are no independent observers. Zero.

  • @kurth

No one independent actually saw severe symptoms in Trump case, if you exclude theatrical tube during transport into hospital.

  • @Vitaliy....excuse me, but.....are there cases of someone experiencing severe symptoms, being hospitalized and then taking a 1.3 million dollar experimental drug regimen , and walking out of the hospital 2 days later ?.....or...are there 60 0r 70% of cases that just have a light response, but never severe symptoms and get well within one or two weeks on their own ? . You're confusing 2 different concepts.

  • @Vitaliy_Kiselev "I am not sure about Trump, most probably he won't save anyone."

Jesus didn't save himself i think Trump is a very long shot of saving anyone ( neither himself). Of course Biden it's not a option and this is the real problem everywhere no more viable options to choose from... It's metastasis....

  • Capitalists in Mordor

Private medicine in Mordor fully rejected dealing with coronavirus or even flu patients.

CT scan equipment in private hospitals are closed (totally, despite it is around 65% total in the country) since April. As clinics do not want any responsibility and do not want to take any part in lungs tests.

This is why you must never allow such thing as private medicine here.

  • Chancellor Angela Merkel and mayors from Germany’s 11 largest cities have agreed to adopt stricter anti-coronavirus measures if infections exceed a threshold of 50 cases per 100,000 a week.

Measures could include tighter rules on mask-wearing, as well as restrictions on private gatherings and buying alcohol.

You won't be even legally drunk in Germany anymore.

  • @kurth

Nothing mysterious here. Around 60-70% of people who get it have similar or even more light response.

  • @Vitaliy....but you have to admit that his 'recuperation' was mysterious, at the very least. And promising to give every american his million dollar cure, even more so.

I am not sure about Trump, most probably he won't save anyone.

  • @Vitaliy....doesn't have anything to do with liberals, conservatives, from anywhere, even eeuu...a crime has been committed. You want to assign guilt based on metaphors. Or you think wuhan was just a coincidence ?

  • Do we need to start imposing new sanctions considering UK interference?

One of the world’s most prestigious medical journals - New England Journal of Medicine, has lambasted the Trump administration’s “dangerously incompetent” handling of the pandemic and called for them to be voted out of office, as US coronavirus cases continue to soar.

In an unprecedented move in its more than two centuries-long history, the New England Journal of Medicine published an editorial in which it said the current leadership had “recklessly squandered lives” and “largely claimed immunity for their actions”.

May be they just feared that Trump could end "more than two centuries-long history" of journals who make up and publish fake scientific research and kill people telling them that certain medication are horrible and must not be used?

  • More than 80% of people who tested positive in a national coronavirus survey in the UK had none of the core symptoms of the disease the day they took the test.

The finding has prompted fears among scientists that future Covid-19 outbreaks will be hard to control without more widespread testing in the community to pick up “silent transmission”

    Stealthy virus.

Researchers at University College London said 86.1% of infected people picked up by the Office for National Statistics Covid-19 survey between April and June had none of the main symptoms of the illness – a cough, or a fever, or a loss of taste or smell the day they had the test.

What this shit is about? How about tell us if they ever got ANY symptoms.

Media again started to posting and promoting this shite. I propose to use lifelong sentence for publication editor for publishing any such disinfection photos with good words under it.

  • @kurth

I am more inclined to side with you and US conservatives looking at facts.

Just look at my last post here above, Nobel prize is like spit into humanity face, where elites tell that they will even award prize to their scientists for making main tool that made creation of such things possible.

  • Congratulations 100 pages of this shit virus!!! I wonder 10 years from now how this thread would look like? Crimes against humanity , big hoax from medics and media, massive shutdown of the system? A big laugh that’s what I wanna see!!!

Lol, video is With Anime evangelion music in the background.

  • Acid reducer like pepcid, omeprazole plays tricks with your mind, and the side effects linger long after you stop taking them. Throw in corticoids like dexamethasone which also plays tricks, I do not know when you sit next to a big red button.
