    Up until now Windows 7and Windows 8 could be installed on systems with new chips and worked except you did not have official drivers.

    Now Microsoft want to force you to got o Windows 10 as it will check for new CPUs and fully disable Windows Update for such systems.

    Anniversary Update reduced updates rollback period to 10 days and broke most web cameras in same time.

    Microsoft perfectly knew about issue with web cameras as it is them who completely broke software pipeline for them. And they expect to have some type of fix in 1-6 months.

    Both changes came fully unannounced and as secret part of updates.

    Btw, Microsoft change with cameras pipeline is made to allow sharing of video stream among applications. In other words - it will finally allow malware and Windows itself to have access to original stream without being noticed (previously it caused access block to other software).

    Well, update time passed, for now. Of course you can still upgrade for free if you tell them that you are disabled (and who are not?).

    More news - since version 1607 of Windows 10 if you did fresh install Microsoft start requiring Microsoft signature on all drivers. For example it means that if you are small firm or developer you must now pay for this and include this in costs and include waiting time also.

    Update KB3035583 (Update installs Get Windows 10 app in Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 SP1) for many people after update just install Windows 10 without asking anything.

    Also check KB3044374 and KB3123862.

    Ive cut 2 projects on win 10 w 980 ti 1 project on premiere and the other on media composer 8.5. Win 10 works perfectly so far. Bm intensity card.

    Ive had 3 different unrelated machines now install the wrong integrated intel video driver leaving only a black screen on reboot. Driver updates should never be auto updated, and never installed with other updates at the same time

    It is capitalism.

    Go to any high populated third world countries and it is much more scary.

    Microsoft also improves their "smart" filter fast by indicating anything that can come from not very legal source as presenting threat or just rejecting completely to download it.
