Anniversary Update reduced updates rollback period to 10 days and broke most web cameras in same time.
Microsoft perfectly knew about issue with web cameras as it is them who completely broke software pipeline for them. And they expect to have some type of fix in 1-6 months.
Both changes came fully unannounced and as secret part of updates.
Btw, Microsoft change with cameras pipeline is made to allow sharing of video stream among applications. In other words - it will finally allow malware and Windows itself to have access to original stream without being noticed (previously it caused access block to other software).
LOL sounds like the basis of a class action suit here in USA. So happy I'm still Win 7.
Next update bring ability to fully prevent installation of apps that you did not buy in Microsoft store
Something tells me that we are not far from time as ability to install non Store apps will be paid option and very expensive.
New change in Update policy removing latest Intel and AMD CPUs from support on old OSes
Up until now Windows 7and Windows 8 could be installed on systems with new chips and worked except you did not have official drivers.
Now Microsoft want to force you to got o Windows 10 as it will check for new CPUs and fully disable Windows Update for such systems.
wow -maybe that will be a boon for the slightly old laptop secondary market
