The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 outputs high quality images. The 20 megapixels Four-Thirds CMOS sensor is paired with a speedy Venus Engine which offers 11 levels of noise-reduction. Dialing down from the default to -3 produces the optimal balance between details and noise. This allows the maximum GX8 resolution to be used up to ISO 800 where noise is barely noticeable.

My GX8 arrives in a few hours to Santo Domingo. :)
The absolute best color that Panasonic has ever delivered out of the camera

Im very happy with the GX8.
Shots were taken by 6:30 in the morning with some clouds and dim light.
One of the most immediate differences between the GX8 and its predecessor, is the size. Obvious as soon as you pull it out of the box, it is larger and heavier in the hand. But, aren’t Mirrorless Cameras supposed to be ridiculously tiny? No, no they’re not. They CAN be, and that is cool, but we’re way beyond the need to under-compensate for our larger than average genitalia by carrying around the smallest cameras available.
I wonder if sensor shift stabilisation would work with canon lenses on electronic adapter...
Hello, I'm a new GX8 user in Korea.
I did GX8 5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S test with 12-35mm lens a week ago and got this shaky recording.
Recording setting : 1080P (24P), MTS, 12-35mm HD lens, 5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S ON, handheld.
Panasonic Korea says, "This shaky is normal in wide angle about 12-25mm range and Other GX8 has same result.
Therefore we can't fix this.
Even more other HD lens like 14-140mm lens, GX8 has same shaky result with it in wide angle."
How do you think about this?
Is it normal? Is it same result with your GX8 in wide range?
You can just get another body in shop and made same thing, Make sure that it is not caused by hands.
Is your 12-35mm f2.8 firmaware updated to latest? There was jitter problems with first FW versions.
Some Panasonic POWER OIS lenses seem to add micro jittering to video image. Have looked jitter discussion in lens section:

@Vesku Of course, My 12-35mm f2.8 firmware is v 1.3(latest version). 5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S needs 1.3 lens firmware.
Anyway, Thanks Vitaliy and Vesku.
There is something about taking a picture in incandescent light, hand held at f5.1 iso 12,800, with an unstabilized $99 Olympus 40-150mm lens that is remarkable. This camera raw image was opened in Photoshop but is unretouched.
There has been much discussion about the GX8's dual image stabilization system for HD video with compatible lenses. Are there any videos on YouTube or Vimeo of its successful implementation in a real life situation? There are many video examples for the OMD M5 II. Does Panasonic have one to show off the camera's capabilities, not just videos of how the system works?
the lack of videos is probably because so few lenses with work in tandem with the body. Don't know if you've seen this firmware Schedule to enable it on more lens.
It's also possibly due to the fact that the camera isn't all that easy to find in stock.
I have the camera. It works great in low light and I love the way it feels. But with my HVS014014 lens my GH2 with the Sanity Hack makes nicer video than the GX8 (as noted in this forum). I don't see much in the way of promises from Panasonic or any one else that it's going to be much better come the February 2016 lens update. I'm just about ready to send it back because I don't see the advantage I believed I would have.
New firmware v2.0 for G7 and GX8 is out
http://av.jpn.support.panasonic.com/support/global/cs/dsc/download/fts/index2.html
I can confirm that the remote shutter problems I had (with old DMW-RS1 and DMW-RSL1) have been resolved by firmware 2.0 released today.
