So, no 24P? :(
Video I made with the FZ200, I have six of them..
@wallasdaviola That looks very good! Did you do any noise removal or any processing on the clips? What zoom setting were cameras at?
No one is worried about lack of 24p?
@aljimenez Thanks. No denoising, only curves and unsharp mask no vegas.. I try to keep the iso as low as possible for that I used iso 200. This Will become a monster, once it gets hacked. @mastroiani. I rendered 24p..
@wallasdaviola Hi, thanks for your reply, but what do you you mean you rendered in 24P. Did you shoot in a different frame rate and then force-rendered it in the timeline or there is native 24P and I missing something? :) Thanks
@mastroiani In Premiere CS6, I bring in my 60p clips from the camera and edit as normal. Then when I render, I use the following settings:
720p, 23.976 fps... the rest as far as bitrate encoding, is up to you depending on how large you're comfortable letting your file size become. When it's done, you have a 24p (23.976) final output. The really nice thing about bringing in the 60p footage is that you can slow it down all the way to 40% to give great slow motion and still render out at 24p.
While it's not 24p in camera, you can still get the "look" of 24p by rendering out this way. I'm sure that people will argue that it's not "true" 24p, but it works.
hope that helps.
Tony
@tcarretti nice video there! Interesting to see how well the camera does with concert lighting. I was wondering when you set up the FZ200's for that multicam - how many people were operating?
@eyenorth Unfortunately, that's not my video but @wallasdaviola
I was just explaining how to render out the files to 24p. I agree though, it looks very nice and held up well under the lighting circumstances.
One thing that interest me is why you need 24p, especially if most people here produce either web videos or DVDs.
For possible documentary work. I remember that there were plans of hacking FZ200 as well.

Yep, I have FZ200 on hand.
But hack won't add 24p.
@mastroiani Our friend @tcarreti explanes it all, @eyenorth I have 3 fixed câmeras and 3 others being operated. I really like this camera, if only the iso business was better. Thank you all
@wallasdaviola Thanks!
@Vitaliy_Kiselev Pardon, my mistake. I thought it would hav 24P, but nevertheless any hack is a welcome addition :)
@wallasdaviola - thanks and sorry for the mix-up :) Thought I'd do a lenscap test for this one as well; here goes:
HQ video file here: https://mega.co.nz/#!IlRQxQAZ!FxWBlj-hjITr7DzeQuvbS2mqSNM8h1QorB-WC35-Y8w@eyenorth thank for the test, valuable information right there..
Does the fz 200 use the same batteries as the gh2?
@gameb Yes.
Vitaliy, could your possible hack switch on other menu languagues (Russian instead of English for example)?
A major advantage of the FZ200 is the big and fast zoom with 60p video, and so bird videos are a natural. Here is a video showing birds in the South and the North in Wintertime. Some of the shots use the LT55 tele extender, so at 1100mm. All handheld.
@markr041 that quality is great! Nice shots and good work with the handheld steadiness. My old hands can't pull that off anymore!
Another live concert with multiple fz200..
@wallasdaviola that looks really sharp as well. What settings were you using? All manual? Picture profile as well... thanks for sharing.
@tcarretti I am Using portrait all -2 , all manual.. added light unsharp mask in post... Take Care..
