War: Sakhalin and global warming scam
    • According to research by Professor, Doctor of Geographical Sciences A.M. Korotkikh (Pacific Institute of Geography, Far East Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences), about a million years ago Sakhalin was occupied by dark coniferous spruce - fir taiga and mixed forests with pine, oak, elm, hornbeam, beech, yew, magnolia, ginkgo and other thermophilic plants. The climate was subtropical. The average annual air temperature was about + 8C.

Then, about 800 years ago, an intense cooling began. It lasted 250 thousand years. The western part of the island had been occupied by small-leaved alder-birch forests. Larch-birch forest-tundra has formed on the eastern coast. In the south of the island, sparse birch-larch forests appeared. The average air temperature in July did not exceed + 10C, in January it was -20-23C, and the average annual temperature dropped to -6 C. Permafrost appeared, spreading to the south of the island.

Another warming began 550 thousand years ago. On the western coast of the island, coniferous-deciduous forests began to grow again with the participation of hornbeam, beech, hemlock. The climate was warm and humid: the average temperature of the year was + 6C, January to -6C, July to + 19C.

This grace stretched for 250 thousand years until a new cold snap. It was very significant. The island was occupied by birch-larch forests, in the north with areas of forest-tundra and permafrost. The average annual air temperature dropped to -5C, in January to -23C, and in July - only to + 14C. the average annual sea water temperature has become 10-12 degrees lower than the present one.

The paleotemperatures of sea water are determined by the presence of diatom shells in bottom sediments. These microscopic unicellular algae have bizarre siliceous (opal) shells resembling porous spheres with spiked rays or flat (feathery) formations, also with thorns. The colder sea water is, the more carbon dioxide is dissolved in it, which is necessary for diatoms to produce carbohydrates. They flourish both quantitatively and qualitatively - a variety of species.

In the interval 230-200 thousand years ago, the climate again became warmer than the modern one. The average annual temperatures of the surface layer of sea water exceeded the modern ones by 2-3 C.

The alternation of warm and cold periods continued, although there was no influence of human economic activity: there was no intake of carbon dioxide into the air, creating a "greenhouse effect," from thermal power plants and automobiles.

200-130 thousand years ago, a new cold snap came to Sakhalin. The average annual temperature dropped to -5C, in January -30C, in July only + 12C. Surface sea water temperature dropped by 7C to subarctic conditions.

After that, it warmed up to 95 thousand years ago: the average annual air temperature was + 5-6C, in January only -4C, in July - up to + 20C. The average annual sea water temperature was 13-15 C, which corresponds to the current temperature in the Sea of Japan at 39-40 north latitude.

The beginning of a new cold snap lowered the average annual temperature by ten degrees, amounting to -5C. In the north, the land was occupied by shrub-herbaceous plants (sedges, grasses), and from trees - larch, birch, alder, dwarf cedar. Tundra, forest-tundra, permafrost appeared.

Intense warming began 10.5 thousand years ago. And although there were slight cold snaps, in general, the climate was established close to the modern one with an average annual air temperature in the south of the island of +2C.

With an increase in the temperature of seawater, part of the carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere, and with a decrease in the temperature of seawater, carbon dioxide, on the contrary, dissolves in water, with a decrease in its content in the air. It is not carbon dioxide that causes climate warming, but, on the contrary, climate warming leads to an increase in the content of CO2 in the atmosphere.

Big repressions of scientific prostitutes can save the planet, this is for sure.

War: Nvidia and MSI can stand behind crypto scam promotions
    • Motherboard and graphics card maker Micro-Star International (MSI) has reported net profits climbed 109.3% sequentially and 233.5% on year to a record high of NT$4.17 billion (US$149.2 million) in the first quarter of 2021.

Some market observers expect MSI's profits in first half of 2021 to surpass those of whole-year 2020 and should see staggering on-year growths for whole-year 2021.

Rumors in the bloggers space is that all GPU cards manufacturers very much like if their puppets support crypto scam and promote it by telling viewers how nice profits they can get. In revers - if you try to blame it and clearly tell that it is scam you will be excluded from the guys getting test samples.

War: One of key Nichia patents fell
    • LED packaging service provider Everlight Electronics has disclosed it has won a patent lawsuit in China, where its Supreme People's Court recently dismissed an appeal filed by Japan-based Nichia to claim validity of its YAG patent in the country.

The Beijing Intellectual Property Court in China invalidated the patent CN200610095837.4 in May 2019. Nichia then appealed to the supreme court.

The US Supreme Court, the High Court of Australia and the Taiwan Supreme Administrative Court have invalidated Nichia's YAG patents in the respective countries.

Everlight is expanding ultraviolet and infrared LED packaging capacity by about 30%, with the additional capacity to gradually come into operation in the second and third quarter of 2021.

      Slowly, but steadily.

Good quote: On freedom and lack of it

Real freedom exists only where exploitation has been abolished, where there is no oppression of some people by others, where there is no unemployment and poverty, where a person does not tremble because tomorrow he may lose his job, home, bread.

War: Mordor disinformation must be stopped
    • Representatives of the G7 countries plan to develop a mechanism to combat dark Mordor"disinformation and propaganda," British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab told Reuters ahead of the first series of face-to-face meetings of the G7 foreign ministers in two years.

"Let's consider the proposal to create a mechanism for rapid response and counter disinformation and propaganda coming from valleys of Mordor," he said.

According to him, the measures should concern not only the direct "transmission of the Truth" to the residents of the G7 countries, but also apply to attacking directly Mordor and China. In addition, Raab expressed concern about "Moscow's attempts to sow distrust" among citizens in Western governments. This must be stopped and any doubts in governments actions must be viewed as extremism.

I hope that "The Truth" will keep rotten capitalist west countries afloat for few more years. Or not.

China: Also printing money like mad
    • If we take all sources of financing, including shadow, then the volume of new loans in Chinese economy in 2020 amounted to almost 30% of GDP or 30 trillion yuan, which is comparable to the growth of the Fed's monetary base of more than 4 trillion dollars.

In other words, if Western countries only accelerated emissions last year in response to the pandemic, then China switched on the printing press long ago and only slightly increased the rate of emissions last year.

      And it is perfectly visible.
