After loading your Cinema Smooth, I did not recieve any errors while shooting, I did, however recieve an interesting problem, not sure what causes this to happen; when windows explorer reads some of the 24h footage shot, the bitrate displays as "256kbps" the file plays back fine, but is this a sign of the patch? attached a screenshot from the bottom of windows explorer....

Artifacts appear around the edges of objects that are in focus. I tested on multiple subjects and the outcome has been the same with these artifacts around the edges.

Many thanks for your feedback by PM! I will check it and am going to tweak the matrix later for "TYPE-ZERO2". :-)

This is Valkyrie which adopted 'Pure Cinema Smooth matrix' of Chris.

About the concept of CS matrix, I think that it will be later explained from @cbrandin or @driftwood officially.

Warning! : in this "TYPE-ZERO1" setting, all the modes of AVCHD are experimental.

Please keep in mind that artifacts often appears in HBR, 1080i and 720p in spite of being very stable. Please try it! And I am very glad if I can get any feedbacks.

*If this is also still unstable, I will further adjust.

@bkmcwd Hey mate! A friend and I founded a small young production company and - of course! - we are using the GH2 loaded with your Valkyrie C1.5b as well. While we are working on our first client projects, we uploaded some fun shots with the GH2 and FS700 as a little teaser for the upcoming showreel. @producer, this may be a good opportunity to open a new Topic. I have seen so much work going into testing with the results being marginal at best. Some people do shoot decent work but most underestimate what the camera can do and limit there results. This unit has been proven to be strong and productive. I actual agree with you on this point.... shallow, thin, etc. It certainly does not represent the work that has gone into upgrading the firmware. There have been many successful ventures working in the matrix areas. @Cbrandin primarily has made major strides in this area. @producer, the abilities of this camera are constantly being mis represented by way of inexperience and timidness. Thanks For bringing this to the forefront.

The present GOLGOP3-13_C5s are upgraded as official settings as a result of verification. Similarly, I upgrade the newest candidate also in GOP3ZILLA as an official version.

About Valkyrie, I will wait for the feedback from you a little longer. :-)

BTW, is it taken into consideration although the sample by @Mrhechang is with HBR? In GH2, the difference of image quality other than 24p is made clear. This sample by him shows a possibility of setting to HBR of GH2 of the image quality inferior to 24p. I think that this does not show the possibility of GH2 itself.

@producer Interersting what you mentioned re Sony A57. Has your friend posted any footage online-I'd be interested in checking it out. I'd say the video you saw doesn't necessarily represent the very best final end result of a GH2, as it was a test. Everyone's experience is different, but I've gotten some very nice results using the Apocalypse Now Boom setting, with camera at Smooth all -2, except saturation at 0, a 50mmLomo lens, and with slight adjustment of Luma curve. I've used that when recently shooting a trailer for a film I'll be filming soon. The final edits are being done this week, so I'll post soon. In the meantime, if you haven't seen the trailer for 'Musgo', check it out on Vimeo. This is a feature shot recently with a GH2 using the hack and a modest bitrate setting. It's a pretty good looking trailer. Hope this is helpful.

@exilenorth: Of course, right!

But what I mean is the structure of the picture itself typical for GH series at all. Canons or even Sonys would never produce such a weak picture.

For example, my friend bought Sony A57 and I was sceptical about it. But when I watched the photo and video test, I was surprised by the deep thick shapes and details, much closer to the professional cameras and videocameras. While GH series still give really thin shapes and object details and that's why I strongly appealed many times to creating or modifying the GH color profiles in that direction.

@producer, perhaps your right, but then again no one uses light properly when testing. At least @Mrhechang is giving it a try. Certainly as a producer you would find that the use of light or the time of day dictate what the ultimate product looks like. Right?
