We considered the EA50 for our weddings but ended up using a couple of Sony CX740s instead. Sure, it's a consumer model, but at the end of the day it gets the job done. For beauty shots, the Panny G6 matches the Sony colors much better than our old GH2 did.
Then again if Sony would take a 1" sensor with a 24-105mm eqv fast zoom and add the same gyro stabilization as in the CX740, that day would be a happy one :-)
Was hunting for this thread, couldn't find it so started one, but VK closed it. Glad this thread resurfaced. Ok back to my original question. HDMI output is it 8bit 4:2:0 or 4:2:2? Seeing it's AVCHD, I would think its 4:2:0
I had the chance to handle one of these. Very lightweight body, seems a little too light. but it is a lovely ergonomic design, great balance with a canon 24mm f1.4L. Same image quality as the nex 5n, nex5r and nex6. but the proper audio interface and the handling makes it a better choice than the vg900 i think.
@kicap: No it is not FS100 by any means... it is rathen NEX 5N or VG20...
Since this camera has interchangeable E-mount lens system, it means that with a right adapter mount, it has become the FS-100 with more ergonomic features right? Can I really make use of Nikkor manual lenses?
This should have been out before I heavily invested in my old FX1 and SGBlade at one point in 2008!! Damn it!
Yeah sure it took two years to tune that plastic trumpet XD
That sony promo vid is really funny. footage looks really video-y, by the way.
