1x the gh2 freezes in 720 mode, and i dont no why? .
all other times there was no problem................
300% record did not give any probs in H mode.
but higher then iso 1600 is a no go, that will say, for so far in what i tested.
there is a lot of noise/grain then..........

i did try to shoot 720p, hbr and 24p in exact the same shot....
lens was set 22mm to 55mm for the different shots..
I will edit the video, and see what happens then...
btw, all is done in the highest settings..

Which card did you use? And is 720p modified from my setting by yourself?

@bkmcwd Camera is often freeze at SanDisk SDHC 32GB class 10 32mb/s . SDXC is no problem excellent!

Yes, also in my test, it often freezes with cards other than 95MB/s SDXC. It is normal for this setting.

However, since it may somewhat be too aggressive, I readjust slightly in 50p.

I did not change any off your setting.
it looks like the changes you did in goptable setting x2 did the trick.. ;-)
card used is a Sandisk Extreme Pro 32gb 95 mb/s.
Datarate.
720 +/- 65mb to 75mb (SH)
hbr +/- 45 to 65mb (H)
24p +/- 70 to 118mb (H)
300% 75 to 90mb (H)

@bkmcwd shot 36gb today with the TYPE-ZERO2 candidate2 setting. froze twice in HBR 25p, but that wasn't a big deal. ExTele worked without problems. I only looked at a couple of shots quickly and they look really good. Tomorrow we gonna import them into PP CS6 and have a closer look.

Maybe I'll try candidate3 tomorrow...

Since it is a matrix slightly more aggressive than others in HBR of Candidate2, the matrix of Candidate1 has been inherited in Candidate3. I think that Candidate3 is better than C2 also in HBR.

i forgot to say, tele2 works also....
i am render a clip now, 3:30min, it makes things perhaps more clear.
you did already change really a lot between Candidate 2 and Candidate 3 ...

UPDATE(12/09/2012) Since mistake input was in the setting of Candidate4, what was corrected is set to "Candidate4.1".

"TYPE-ZERO1" released previously was not good in other than 24p. And, TYPE-ZERO2 "Candidate3" is too agressive in 720p mode. Therefore, I made experimental 4th candidate setting **for HBR mode and 720p.

*In 720p, Candidate4.1 is safer than C3.

I reduced artifacts in HBR and 720p, following the pure original matrix of Chris as much as possible.

Please try this. And I am very glad if feedback can be got.

While I know there are newer versions, here's a little vid of the GOP3ZILLA Beta 3 shot with a macro lens and combination of shot at 24p and slo-mo 60p, with most shots in ex-tele mode, which works fine in iso160 and a bit noisy as 320. Only light grading done.
