I'm very interested in the So-Voioe M5, has anybody heard them? Any chance of a discount buy?
Nope, ignore it. As I removed other post referencing DIY.
@Vitaliy_Kiselev @alcomposer I don't understand your latest post, is that in reference to my last post about the Bose speakers or something else? What DIY are you talking about?
VK really great finds! Honestly at these prices DIY is not going to happen. They are basically making $1 per unit. Crazy prices!
No DIY references in topics about consumer products, until author do not ask especially about this.
This is common flaw of many forums, and is not allowed here.
Thing with this is to just make decision :-)
If looking at absolute sound quality, So-voioe must be best.
Midrange is extremely good on mm50 and this old Logitech USB speakers.
@Vitaliy_Kiselev I listened this morning in a shop to these Bose speakers. They are the smallest I saw so far with a really good sound, well built and heavy - but: expensive!

any experience how they sound?
They have same drivers as m50, so hope that they sound very good.
Since m50 time small Logitech speakers just degraded. As far as I remember they bough audio firm who made all this, and later, as usual, marketing geniuses interfered. See my current post in the blog :-)
@Vitaliy_Kiselev Thanks, I will try out the Logitech USB Computer Speakers Model S-0155A, thats the size I was looking for, any experience how they sound?
logitech mm 50 is a bit too big for me
Btw, this thing is quite small. I used them for presentation in case my small USB speaker was not appropriate (music, etc).
In this case this is the thing you need:

@Vitaliy_Kiselev logitech mm 50 is a bit too big for me, but sounds wonderful, a friend of mine has it. The HiVi and the So-voioe look both very interesting.
Btw, almost forgot.
If you want really cheap option:

I see BIN for $15. They have internal battery, remote, and simpl audio input (ignore the dock).
And very good sound, very good.
Logitech also had usb speakers using same drivers, you can try and search, but I am not sure if they sound the same, most probably they are weaker.
I just did same search myself not long time ago :-)
So-voioe speakers are very good as I know.
That was a quick response, cheers @Vitaliy_Kiselev, they look really good!

Strongly suggest second ones.
They have very good coaxial drivers.
