Can someone explain what the real difference is between Driftwood Mysteron and Orion 4d, I belive its higher i frame quality. It seems to be for short and sweet shots rather than long shots.

@Chrimsbroome You seem to be confusing Mysteron and Mysteron Burst. The latter one is meant to maximize image quality for short bursts ( as compared to the normal Mysteron).

As I told @Rajamalik, I will feel more confident talking about the differences between Mysteron and other patches after the big test on Sunday that so many people are taking part in. But for the time being, think of Sedna and Mysteron as being two different attempts to improve on Orion, that do so by changing a lot of things. Some people still prefer Orion, but there seem to be fewer and fewer each week since Sedna was released.

Sedna AQ20 B settings. I had a question everything is going great on the patch. Is it normal for Premier Pro CS5.5 to read the framerate as 60fps instead of the normal 59.94? And I'm having to record in 24p first then switching to 60p in order to not get the write error. Using 32gig Patriot class 10 LX series cards.

Yes used Driftwood Sedna AQ20 setting B. Shot on GH2 with Olympus 12mm, Minolta 50mm f1.7, and Olympus 100mm f2.8. A few of the shots I used the 100mm on ETC mode.

Is there an overview available, listing the average bitrates of all the latest Driftwood settings in 1080P modes? There are so many different Driftwood patches available that it is almost impossible to keep track of them.

@vas907 dude I loved the video.. I've heard that song before, its in my Pandora or in one of my albums just can't remember the name :) When I was shooting with Sedna 24p was being picked up as normal 23.94 in CS5.5.

@adamquesada 24p shows up correctly but but 60p shows up as 60fps and usually Premier Pro reads 60p as 59.94.

@Marco Yes! I love that idea. I realize the latest rounds of patches have more than increased data rates going for them (better matrices, macro-blocking, etc.) But it'd be good to have some sort of list or chart of their rates. And seeing their average rate, instead of just highest potential rate... I don't know if that's been done yet has it? That'd be pretty cool to see.

After the test this weekend, we should have the average rates available for several patches. But rememer, it is scene dependent.

But if you want to start compiling, you can download and reference them from the MTS files I put up a while back in the Sedna blog at http://PasadenaPulse.net. That includes Cluster, stock fw 1.1., Orion, Sedna, Dark Matter, etc.

Busy filming three things this week and some of next week. Music video, Children's documentary and three nights of a theatre show 'Growing Room' with Rachel Blackman (who starred in Matrix Revolutions!) ... but next week things should ease off... Canis and Cluster v2 are near completion - I just wanna be 100% happy with them... some of the new settings are being 'trialed' in the videos.. I'll be back in force soon. :-)
