@Vitaliy_Kiselev is that USD? Very high price.
DXO are really only reviewing based on stills performance. They should start to seriously review video cameras as well.
Given that, a7rii and d810 are best performers in stills area currently. No real competition there.
Btw, if no one knows, official Russian GH5 price (and it is sold at it) for GH5 is $2822.
If I "really" wouldn't "needed" the camera, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have serious thoughts of investing money on it.
Camera is not investment. And usage of word "need" here has other meaning.
Nor of this guys are friends, you are right, they are enemies.
As for thoughts, thoughts come not from vacuum. From talks, watching media, reading reviews. Big marketing machine. Capitalists translate you that they need you to think :-)
If I "really" wouldn't "needed" the camera, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have serious thoughts of investing money on it. Panasonic may not be "my friend" but neither is Nikon, Canon, Sony and company. Yes I know, it's unfortunate that I need gear to work with. :)
Well, it'll be utterly stupid thing to do.
I just want to emphasize one thing. Panasonic is not your friend and is not making cameras you really need.
But they add features that allow to make margin as high as possibly while keeping sales good.
I think we should better compare it to a previews generation RED camera and in that light the GH5 will look like a real bargain. :)
Some interesting and contradictory observations with sample images from both Dpreview and Imaging Resource in regards to DXO testing of the GH5.
@1917 Guess u set camera in Pal , switch in NTSC or 24 Cinema and u will see again C4K options
@DouglasHorn Thx mate ! Im not really into LUT , my skin color its kinda pinky LOL , btw i tried some osiris , was just idea to see how Cinelike D and like709 works with LUT , :)
@valpopando - Thanks for sharing this. The graded skin tones are distractingly magenta though. What did you use for grading? Is it a LUT?
First weekend with my GH5 a month ago, I meant to test most of the features while shooting some Parkour / Freerunning. Ended up getting obsessed with 180fps slowmo. Amazing feature. Here's a video of the test footage I shot with a talking intro and then some discussion of my experiences with it after.
Imported GH5 for $1893
@c3hammer I think it depends on what you are shooting as well. I tested in car with powerlines above moving forward.
A short test with my new camera !
