  • At least now you can buy a set of three Noktons for video and be done with it. :-) Well, maybe add the Olympus 12mm -- If only the BMCC was active MFT.

  • Maybe 42.5 x2 sensor crop to make it 85mm 35mmsensor FOV ?

Does seem in line a bit with the 17mm (approx 35mm 35mmsensor FOV) and 25mm (approx 50mm 35mmsensor FOV)

full-frame 35mm speaking a set of 35,50,85 focal lengths is quite common.

  • This is great news! Hope they make also 12mm (possibly 0.95) :-) 12, 17.5, 25, 42.5 would be a great set ...

  • According to http://dc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/20130131_585912.html The lens has the "video-friendly" clickless aperture system, minimum focusing distance of 23cm and maximum magnification ratio 1:4. It would be interesting to compare the Nokton to the coming 42.5mm f/1.2 from Panasonic, whenever that shows up.

  • May be, plus they want to fill the holes.

    Many people exist who want to get 12mm, 13mm, 14mm,.... 40mm, 42.5mm, 45mm, 50mm, .... lens set :-)
