Have been using a basic 44Mbit patch for some time thinking everything else was crazy unstable. Just read all 11 pages of this thread in one sitting and stoked to try the Flow Motion patch tomorrow. To be honest, used the GH2 unhacked on dozen of projects, even broadcast, and have been applauded, so this to me, is icing on the cake! Well done Lee and team!

Also, must say, had quite a few laughs reading some of the posts ... flow chart... LOL :)

Just loaded Flow Motion, though had a question, if I uncheck NTSC-Pal in camera switching, all languages option, and 30 minute removal, that should not affect any of the other settings, correct?

While I'm waiting for Lee's feature film, I've learned my lesson. I had to send one of my GH2's back for repair. It's the one I usually have FM2 on. I didn't reload my second camera and it had Sedna AQA on it. (Which is the king of detail under controlled conditions IMO).

I was watching a police pursuit last night and when the shot came up....I got a card error (Sandisk 64-95) and missed the whole damned thing.

That's never happened with Flow Motion 2.2 or Sanity 5.

Let me add....that's no an insult to Sedna. I still love it and will use it, just not under those conditions.

AF100 Scene File was matched to the GH2, using CINE-V with NORM2, WB 5.6K

GH2 patched with Flow Motion v2, in Smooth Film Mode, WB Sunlight A-4 M-4

GH2 footage was shot in 80% Slow Motion in 24H mode, and conformed to 30p.

Footage was cropped and composited in After Effects CS5.5, rendered at 50Mbps.

@qwerty123 In my experience, quantizing matrices are not mix-and-match ingredients that can be casually sprinkled into patches in a taste-testing manner. These matrices lie at the heart of an encoder's core compression engine and deeply affect its bitrate utilization.

In developing Flow Motion v2, I started with a theoretical design for its quantizing matrices, and tweaked the encoder's bitrate allocation to support it. If you changed those quantizing matrices to something different, it would no longer be Flow Motion v2, and you would be effectively starting over from scratch.

Sweet, I actually do allot of video tests at Seijoh gakuen mai (have no idea on the spelling) station. I like the way the tracks curve subtly in that station, plus it just seems to have better lighting than most stations and none of the shinjuku stink =P

Cool, I wish I came here in the 90's! The spot is actually the home of Ultra Man, Soshigaya Okura, not too far from Shibuya, but a much smaller older section of Tokyo. Ultra Man is everywhere, actually on the poster behind the musician, but not quite in this shot. Even the street lamps are designed as abstract Ultraman heads ! =)

@LPowell: I didn't had a lot of time in the last weeks. And cause i must have done some shootings i used seaquake. Its even nice. But not playable in cam. So yesterday i tried FLM2 a second time. And i figuered out the problem with the 720p SH with my 16mm. It crashed allways in seconds. But after i formatted the card 95mb/s by the sandisk formatter it works. I read the tip with the formatter here on personal-view somewhere else. Now i can use tripod, steady, even A or P settings. It works. The i Settings like iA or iD i never use. So i did not test them. But now i think Flow Motion 2 will stay on my GH2 for a long time. Thanks again.
