Panasonic GH5 4K VIDEO/6K PHOTO Digital Camera, $1879
499$ for panny sd claiming to work with the new firmware end of september... and there's no other card available at the moment.
Do not worry so much, as firmware will be out we'll have lot of cards tested by users.
Apparently, you can output HLG with 4K 60P 10bit over HDMI-- but you need an Atomos recorder to get it, and maybe they'd need to upgrade their firmware to deal with it.
This ones must work
Lexar 128GB Professional 1000x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card (2-Pack, Class 10, UHS Speed Class 3) 2 pack

@Vitaliy_Kiselev Those Lexar will not work. They claim a minimum sustained write speed of 30MB/s which multiplied by 8 (to convert from megabytes to megabits) gives us 240Mb/s - not quite 400Mb/s of new firmware. V60 cards just cut it - 60x8=480 and V90 is the safest bet at 90x8=720Mb/s min sustained write speed.
Looking at benchmarks they must work
128gb
256gb
They have issue with small write chunks, but must not be issue for videos in GH5.
^^^Lots of conclusions/claims, but thin on methodology, settings and results.
^^ It appears the IBIS mightn't have been active for that test due to it switching itself off when the camera is mounted on a tripod. It was reported as a fault and Panasonic said they'll look into it.
Panasonic LUMIX DC-GH5 Micro 4/3s Digital Camera Body - Black (Open Box), $1729
Just installed High Sierra and it STILL DOESN'T HAVE Quicktime Player compatibility with 10 bit GH5 files!!
Hey guys, I plan to extend my rig with a v mount. The v mount shall power my atomos as well as my GH5 via BLF19E DMW-DCC12 Dummy Battery DC Coupler. I was specifically looking into the Fotga DP500III Mark 3 which outputs 8V and 5A.
My question: Is that output ok for GH5 since GH5 batteries run on 7.2V and 2A. If I am not mistaking 8V is fine but I am not sure about the 5A.
What voltage and amp dies the GH5 take?
There is another solution is found not using the DC 8V of the fotga v-mount: http://www.hawkwoods.co.uk/Prods/Product/LR-13
Can anyone help on that setup? Or tell me alternatively how to power the GH5 externally?! Thanks :)
DC voltage for GH cameras is higher than battery voltage, if it'll be low it'll stop working and tell about not original battery.
2A and 5A is current, and denote maximum current power supply can provide. As GH5 certainly is below 15 watts (15>7.2*2) 5A limit is more than enough.
Just got a GH5 today and was outside testing. Seems to run a little warm compared to my GH4. Not hot but warm on the base plate and HDMI port side. Is this normal? It was 86F outside today.
