@Sage Sorry, I gave up on it since I wasn't able to produce a reliable 3-GOP version of 720p mode.
Another CS6 diagonal noise workaround to avoid the aggressive chroma smoothing of 5d2rgb: Adobe Media Encoder 5.5 to prepare footage
H.264 Proxy:
23.97 Framerate - 960X1080 - 16X9 Widescreen Pixel Aspect Ratio - VBR 1 Pass - 11 Target Bitrate - 15 Max Bitrate - Keyframe Distance of 6
59.97 Framerate - 640X720 - 16X9 Widescreen Pixel Aspect Ratio - VBR 1 Pass - 11 Target Bitrate - 15 Max Bitrate - Keyframe Distance of 9
@sage Wondering if this was fixed in the cs6 6.02 update released September 6th. I'm still on CS5, but will upgrade soon...
thx
I am fully up to date; but a good point nonetheless.
@LPowell. I am very close to starting some serious tests of my 3D rig, and from a 'I sort of (barely) understand it all' position I am thinking that FM would be a suitable patch. What are your thoughts on this?
@kavadni I don't have much experience myself with 3D rigs.
@Lpowell, thanks I shall have another read through those forums
Just used Flowmotion 2.2 today for a showreel shoot... The footage is the best I've seen from the GH2 thus far IMO. Thanks for all your hard work LPowell and Vitaliy!
This
I feel like many Gh2 shooters just don't understand what dynamite you've got here..
Hey here's a final product filmed with FM 2.02- the "concert" scenes at the end are FM2, the handheld interview camera was AN444 Nebula sharp.
It worked pretty well, but in any situation with a high dynamic range (a spotlight on a performer), the dark areas would exhibit some extreme banding and noise, rendering the shot pretty much unusable. This also happened on Sanity during an emergency patch switch once I realized this live, so it's probably not FM2.
@silvertonesx24 Congratulations on a professional topnotch production!
@LPowell, sorry for the dumb question, but assuming I dont need audio, am I better off using 80% VMM instead of 30pHBR ?
BTW a HUGE thanks for bringing out ONE patch that does it all excellently ! ; )
Yes
Thanks
My latest from Tahiti. GH1 and GH2, Flowmotion/LPowell settings, 720p all clips, including the chopper footage. Lens, 14-140 kit, 20mm pancake and Canon FD 50 f1.4 for all the night shots.
Wow I liked!
I've seen a couple of zoom shots from the elicopter (I believe). Did you zoom manually with the 14-140?
Nice indeed
Yep, manually, but some of the clips are smoothed in post. There are some technical errors and a few shots where i didn't nail focus, but hard to get right on a one take one off event like this.
@Rambo so when were you working on your focus? 2 or 3 feet off the deck.. great job. Gh2 Gh1, yes . the mighty mites.
Flow Motion is my new favorite patch i just wish 720/50p would never crash but it is crashing from time to time and i gotta remove the batterie but that's not a big problem. These 2 videos were shot in HBR/25p and 720/50p for slow motion. Oh yeah and thanks to @L1N3ARX cause he inspired me a lot for some of my grading process.
Wooww real nice video @Swiss_Boy. i like the grading and the fine details from FM setting..
I recently used FlowMotion 2.02 to shoot underwater footage at Curacao, I opened a separate topic on this in case somebody would like to discuss the particularities of GH2 underwater videographing in general.
@Rambo very nice footage , WOW at the sea Waves !!guess next times you have to get weather sealing GH3 LOL
Recording session shot with an old version of FM. Thank you LPowell.
Hello all,
Sorry for this... but where is the download link for FM ? I'm lost.
Best regards.
