It is mostly specific item topic, yep, title is misleading.
As for your reference, can you make review? What are advantages?
The best follow focus under $100 I've used is the 50 Dollar Follow Focus with the $10 gear attachment.

Because only 1 rod is gripped by the FF it is likely that the clamp will need to be over tightened to keep the drive gear from torquing out. I'd avoid this design.
Yes, we have other topic for it. You can try and search this category.
To be short - in this price range Fotga FFs are best with good margin.
Anyone try this one? Hard stops, and quick release for $127 The F4 version is about $100 without the quick release. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/DSLR-Follow-Focus-F4/619943906.html
I've just discovered this FF for little over $100 . It's £89.99 with free shipping in the UK (+£2 shipping worldwide) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130837637118 I haven't used it myself so can't comment on quality, but it seems to be a knock off from Gini-Rigs FF... but a whole lot cheaper, and it seems to be pretty solid. Has anyone had experience with these? Any degree of play?
Yep, and it is available on constant deals, just check FF deals topic.
@Vitaliy thanks... do the Fotga's pop up on catch it deals?
Get Fotga FF :-)
can anyone else speak to this FF? price is still $80
Got it. No dog this time :).
This is my first FF no I don't know if it's better or worse than others. What I can say is that I will use it.
* It actually is quite heavy (in a good way). Gearbox is made from metal.
* You can use it on 20mm 1.7 pancake
* not sure if this is normal but rail distance is actually something like 55mm. It sits on 60 mm no problems.
* there is minimal free movement (play) and You can feel slight gear clicking on slow movement and hear it on faster movement
* It is also quite heavy to start (there is some rubber like starting friction)Looks like It's not very good at doing very small soft focus changes
Over all it is 2x cheaper than next alternative, so I would expect a lot more from more expensive FF models. But I do like this one and will stick to it for a while.
I also discovered that for standard Panasonic lenses there is no point in making marks on the disk since the lens actually adjusts focus with some floating variable. Faster movement produces shorter focusing distance changes per rotation distance changes.
Let us know how it is.
Btw, they have small sale, it is going for $90:
did anyone get one of these? thoughts
Of course.
As you do not see any complaing, all if pretty fine.
did anyone get one of these? thoughts?
Sorry that I couldn't imagine the qulity of the follow focus. So cheap. I always insist that what you get is what you pay.
I really don't get that you mean here.
What it is not best follow focus? Yep it is not best.
But it went quite far from various DFocus and similar DIY like things that had been hot even year ago.
I always insist that what you get is what you pay.
This is quite stupid saying.
Slightly changed version appeared at ebay for $88:
