@Driftwood Music to my ears, Nick. :)
@jvalal I am sorry, it has been a while and I do not recall all the details of our earlier conversation.
What are you using in terms of build and card, and what was happening before you tried SMBU v2? Are the problems happening with other Driftwood settings as well, and which mode have you been shooting in most recently?
@Driftwood Looking forward to it
@JPB1138 - Why 701 and full range and not 601?
@IvanUskokovic As far as I know, The camera records in 701. (Canon's record in 601) The full range is a preference. I prefer a little more room in the blacks at the bottom to try and maximise the appearence of Dynamic Range. If you plan on grading footage I suggest full range, if going for a look right out of camera then go for broadcast range to get backed inb black.
Hi guys, with all the different settings around what would be the best settings to intercut with a RED at 2K. Sedna A AQ1 or Canis Majoris Night. Smooth (-2,-2,-2,-2) or Standard (-2,-2,-2,-2).
Cheers

NTSC edition going up now on page 1. 24p on 12 GOP going from 23Mbps upto 90+Mbps according to detail, this is a step up from cbrandin 66M settings (regular i frames of 1,180,000 in size on high detail). HBR modes run close on the same detail. 720p60 should work great too. Though PAL modes work too, a specialised PAL version is being primed at the moment.
@driftwood OK Nick. This is cluster 1. Let's see if you outdid yourself with cluster 2
Cluster is all about experimenting with different GOPs after people requested long recording times with good quality. Cluster 2A NTSC was the version I was experimenting over the last 5 or 6 weeks. However, Cluster2B PAL edition contains a differing set of GOPs and some extreme settings whiich Ive been messing with in the last week... results of experiments up soon.
@strancali I don't do much slow motion but what I do is in 720-60 Faster shutter speeds are necessary. 1/1000 to 1/2000
@Driftwood Yep, I think you lived up to your reputation, http://s198.photobucket.com/albums/aa57/peternap/?action=view¤t=cluster2-test.jpg
