GH2 @ 42 Mbps, Minolta 50mm f1.4, ETC-mode
I tried to get rid of the noise & compression artificats which were caused by ETC-mode. I exported whole video as TIFF image sequence, added noise reduction in Adobe Lightroom and imported image sequence back to Sony Vegas Pro. But you can still see some errors in video, aspecially at the black levels.
Would high bitrate Driftwood hack make those ugly compression artificats & noise go away? -
yes. You will also get a clearer grain, making easier to work on in post.
