Mordor: Government started new round of VPN blocking
  • Roskomnadzor began to restrict access to violating VPN services, which are used to bypass blocking of any good content and protect their privacy on the Internet. This was reported on Thursday with reference to the release of the service.

On Thursday, Roskomnadzor began blocking VyprVPN and Opera VPN "in accordance with the regulations for responding to threats to circumvent restrictions on access to child pornography, suicidal, pro-drug and other prohibited content."

The service explained to the publication that these services are classified as threats in accordance with a government decree.

"The restrictions will not affect Russian companies using VPN services in continuous technological processes," added Roskomnadzor, adding that more than 200 such processes in 130 Russian companies are included in the "white lists". Enterprises were informed about the possibility of inclusion in the lists on May 14, 2021, the lists can be supplemented after relevant requests

Note how it is always "child pornography, suicidal, pro-drug content"? As if had been possible they will do anything to promote and make all of this things very common (as they love all of them!), but they are so nice tiny size things that allow to dumb down masses.

  • Roskomnadzor has warned that it intends to block six VPN services, according to a statement on the agency's website.

"In accordance with the requirements of the response regulations, we inform you about the planned introduction of centralized management in relation to the means of circumventing the restriction of information prohibited by law," they said.

The following will probably fall under the lock:

    • Hola! VPN
    • ExpressVPN
    • KeepSolid VPN Unlimited
    • Nord VPN
    • Speedify VPN
    • IPVanish VPN

    Going fast into Chinese state

  • Roskomnadzor made a decision to block six more VPN services, the work of which was found to be in violation of Russian law, the agency said in a statement to RBC.

Hola! Services have been blacklisted. VPN, ExpressVPN, KeepSolid VPN Unlimited, Nord VPN, Speedify VPN and IPVanish VPN.

"The use of blocking bypass services leads to the preservation of access to prohibited information and resources, creates conditions for illegal activities, including those related to the distribution of drugs, child pornography, extremism and suicidal tendencies," Roskomnadzor said.

From intention to execution, real morons.
