Hello,
I would like to adapt my Fujinon B4 lens so that it can run from 12V. I would also like to try wiring a shutter release to the VTR button.
I snipped the 6pin hirose connector hoping I could see what wires go to which pins but I couldn't seem to dismantle the hirose connector so I'm left with the following wires:
Red Yellow Orange Green Blue Brown
Now I think that BLUE = +12v and GREEN = GND but I do not know which wire controls VTR.
Thank you.
I have also read that ORANGE = GND.
Hi Jimmy163,
I don't know the cable color coding. These guys may: FUJIFILM North America Corporation Optical Devices Division 6200 Phyllis Drive Cypress, CA 90630 ph. 310.536.0800
Also you can purchase 12 Pin Hirose Servo Power Cable for B4 2/3" Fujinon Canon Nikon Lenses M43, GH4 on Ebay here for about $20:
I have purchased from this ebay seller before his name is ID calhounmonster check out his ebay store. He offers a number of B4 power accessories and has been doing it for years.
Thanks, Mark
Hi,
Unfortunately they do not ship to the UK and the cables are expensive here and come from China.
I can solder a 20 pence DC jack no problem but I just don't know the wiring scheme. I'd also really like for the VTR button to trigger REC on my GH5 which seems relatively simple by butchering a £5 shutter release.
Thanks
This is a custom made cable made upon my request by a spanish guy who then started to sell them on ebay. Has an open ended terminal so you can sold the connector you prefer (or ask him to do it) It works well, does not trigger the start/stop function, though.
@jimmy163 There is a list of "Pin-Outs" here: http://www.doc-diy.net/photo/remote_pinout/ I found it via a facebook post image I posted here in 2016 about a DIY remote handgrip for the GH4 (see bottom of page): http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12282/ergonomic-handles-with-remote-startstop
OK it is BLUE = +VE and GREEN = GND
VTR switch is BROWN and RED.
The good news is the VTR is just a simple push button switch so a cheap shutter release can be wired to it so you have a REC button at your thumb!
I'm wiring directly to the VTR button and running the cable out a blanking cap on the bottom of the grip.
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
