Does this have a regular mic input?
@DrDave Yes, definitely, if by that you mean a standard 3.5mm plug. No headphone output, as usual.
US retail repors are that Sony sent preliminary info about their November sales intentions.
This camera will be among top promoted cameras.
Sale will reach $499 during hot two weeks.
Thanks, Mark looks interesting.
How easy to continuous power?
@DrDave All my power bricks provide easy external power through the micro usb port, plus no overheating issues so far either.
Thanks @tcarretti that seems super easy.

The Vlogcam ZV-1 received twice as many advance orders in Japan as expected, a Sony official said.
This guys are desperate and they lie, and do it very gently, as they can say you that they expected orders to be exactly preorders number divided by 2 :-)

I'm holding out for industrial pink, or the Hello Kitty version. Who says that innovation has stopped at Sony?
The Sony ZV-1 is an off-shoot of the company's excellent RX100 VA enthusiast compact line. It has the same 20MP 1"-type sensor, fast 24-70mm equivalent lens and excellent autofocus system as recent RX100-series compacts, and like the RX100 VA, the ZV-1 captures oversampled 4K (which is slightly cropped at 30p, but not 24p) and features a mic input.

The ZV-1 is not only for V-loggers. Gyro stabilization in post, directional mics, a fast lens, great AF, HLG3 dynamic range, and a good sensor are all useful for shooting in places where one wants to be inconspicuous - the camera is like a miniature A7s iii (without 10bit).
