Cinema5D just posted S1H dynamic range and rolling shutter test results. In the Cinema5D list of cameras they have tested with the most dynamic range, the S1H comes in second behind the ARRI Alexa Mini, with the Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4.6K G2 in third place... https://www.cinema5d.com/panasonic-s1h-lab-test-dynamic-range-and-rolling-shutter-results/
Yep, but does this matter much? I am not sure.
It means that the camera meets Netflix 4K production standard and can be used as an "A" camera for 4K films. It's also the cheapest camera that meets this standard.
The only Blackmagic cameras that have been certified by Netflix are the Ursa Mini 4.6K cameras. The cheapest Canon camera certified by Netflix is the C300 Mk2. The Cheapest Sony camera certified is the FS7.

Our IBC Interview
Thanks for sharing. Great visuals and great story. I guess it was all shot in manual focus? Did you shoot handheld?
I had the chance to take the S1H to test for a week and wanted to use it for some real shoots instead of the standard review and specs videos.
I decided to gift a video to a local wildlife sanctuary and tell their story using the camera and I was blown away with how it worked. As most of you know, I've been a Lumix ambassador in Canada for several years now and had access to all of their gear to test and use and I've been using a GH5 as my main camera since it came out but I will definitely be moving to the S1H soon! Check out the video and let me know what you think!
Shot in 60P 4:2:0 10 bit for everything except the interview which was shot in 4K 24p 4:2:2 10bit all with VLog and the Nicest EE 709 lut with no other corrections.
For the french members, in France, the Atomos Ninja V recorder is offered when you buy the S1H until october 15...
They just announced 5.9K 30p ProRes has to the Atomos Ninja V recorder. Now that has to count for something!
Panasonic is proud to announce the development of firmware for the LUMIX S1H full-frame mirrorless camera which enables the output of 5.9K/29.97p RAW and C4K/59.94p video data to the Atomos Ninja V monitor-recorder. The firmware is scheduled to be launched in early 2020
The LUMIX S1H is the world’s first camera to combine professional-level video quality, the high mobility of a mirrorless camera and a Full-Frame sensor. It is currently capable of video recording at 6K/24p1 (3:2 aspect ratio), 5.9K/29.97p (16:9 aspect ratio), and 59.94p 4K/C4K.2 *3 The LUMIX S1H will be introduced in late September 2019.
Panasonic has a long history of collaboration with Atomos. This relationship will deliver new RAW video functionality for the S1H. 5.9K up to 29.97p and C4K*3 up to 59.94p in RAW delivered over HDMI is in development. With this firmware Apple ProRes RAW can be recorded on the Atomos Ninja V.
A LUMIX S1H prototype with this firmware will be exhibited along with the Atomos Ninja V in the Panasonic booth (Booth No. C45, Hall 11) at the IBC2019 (International Broadcasting Convention) to be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from September 13-17, 2019.
@Faudel Thank you!!
@Pedro The Pana/Sigma/Leica L-mount is the Leica SL mount or CL mount or TL mount, it's the same mount. Try M42 Leica SL ;-)
Sorry guys, vintage glass was not accurate at all. I could not find adapters for my m42 lenses. @peaceonearth @Guy_McLoughlin
