How can I get a cheap ultra wide lens with a good image quality? Is there any lens out? I know that there are many C mount lenses for 1/2" sensors. But the cheap & good ones are very rare.. I really would love to go ultra wide on MFT!!!
@Luc The only *cheap* ultrawide is the popular Pentax 6mm f1.2 TV lens. They work well enough to have become rare enough to sell way above their original price of $20. Make sure you get a genuine C-mount [not the smaller "CS"]. They cover the sensor in ETC mode but vignette on full sensor. In order to get infinity focus you'll need to get handy with grinding the rear. http://www.flickr.com/groups/c-mount_/discuss/72157626237375666/#comment72157626941549087
The Panasonic 7-14 is too expensive for me and not fast enough. I would like something faster than f2.8. But this seems to be a strange point. Only with some so-so C mounts it seems to be possible. I would like to have an ultra wide like a 16mm or wider on full frame.
