  • I think it is superb stuff, as you have all remote controls on handle (focus, etc).

Retail will be around $699 for rig and $359 for cage. For rig it is very affordable as it is Tilta level quality stuff.

  • Lucas Pfaff has some great videos where he reviews the different components.

You can also let me know that you want to see in PV review.

We hope to make it more practical and also use it on upcoming exhibitions.

  • Maybe a full GH4 Setup? With everyone going out and getting the GH5, I'm sure people are clamoring for GH5 gear reviews, but I have no plans to get one for at least a year. I am, however, seriously considering this JTZ setup as my go to rig, assuming it is fully compatible with the GH4.

  • @shoe_e

    We'll have review pretty soon.

    It must be compatible.

  • Small addition - you can use cage with XLR addon see

  • This is an incredible rig! How does the remote control focus? I thought only zoom and start-stop capability are available through the LANC port. Does it connect through USB?

  • @Tron

We did not get cables and handle yet. Wait a little, we'll have detailed second video on it all.

  • The end of that first video seems to indicate there's still no focus support on GH cameras, hopefully a workaround can be devised in the future short of a mechanical servo. Will wait for the updates... I don't have a GH5 yet anyway :)

Read comment on youtube page. As I understand manufacturer all must work.

  • GH5 Full Rig Shots. We have added the shoulder rig and handles.image

  • Second part of our review with focus on smart handle and shoulder pad

  • I have two questions for this rig,

1- How far can you control with that handle on the camera? Is focus possible with an electronic lens? It is a panasonic specific question but for certain projects I might prefer any camera whih can do that (Focus/zoom/iris) remotely.
    2. On their own example setups there is a round EVF shown, do you know what it is?

  • @Orkan

My understanding is it can be very far, you just need audio extension cable.

But we need to make test later.

Their prototype OLED EVF. We talk about in video.

  • As far? As long as you can have a cable. There are extension cables for the cables supplied.

It is possible to focus with electronic M43 lens. With the LANC cable connected to the cage and it powered by the USC-C port. The hand grip will do a one shot focus just like the shutter button on the camera. Hold it down and it Auto Focus until you let go. Did it in video.

    Waiting to see viewfinder.
