Adapting very old sigma canon lens to Sony a6500?

I recently snatched the Sigma High Speed Wide ASPHERICAL 28mm 1.8 for a very good price. It is made for old canon cameras from the analog age. Tried adapting it to my a6500 with the viltrox adapter. No electronic connection. Will now try a non-focal-reducing adapter by commlite. Are there any other speedbooster options out there except for metabones? maybe one with a built in aperture?

today, I tested the first gen metabones speedbooster EF-NEX. It can change aperture (yay) but can not autofocus. bummer.

I have now used the Commlite adapter. It will show an aperture and move the autofocus- but it can only move the AF motor towards infinity. the other direction wont work. The F stop is shown incorrectly and if changed in camera, nothing moves inside the lens. Any ideas?

You mean it is Canon FD? It is not compatible with Canon EF that you try.

Or that it is very old but Canon EF still?
