Even on a 4/3 camera it is a decent but unexceptional lens. The Leica clone mini beercan F4 is reported to be better but is in fact about the same.
They do sell MD to EOS adapters with a piece of glass in them. I tried my Minolta MD 50mm f1.4 on a 50D and it looked horrible. I'm assuming the quality of that glass in the adapter was probably really bad. The adapter was pretty cheap so doubtful that they put any money into quality glass.
This one allows you to remove the glass which turns it into a Macro Tube.
