One little discovery I made (maybe not new to you) is that for 1:2.35 widescreen shooting (using the display markers) the APS-C Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 lens stopped down to about f4 will cover full frame mode from about 22mm onwards on the Sony A7s II, which is really really wide (of course it vignettes at 16:9).
Hence, using the Fullframe, APS-C mode and sometimes the slowmo 1080p120 mode at 2.2 crop the Sigma 18-35 covers equivalent focal lengths of about 22mm to 77mm. That's a 3.5x zoom. This will be my super minimalistic setup for my next Mountainbike film.

Hi folks, here is a link to the showcase section of pv from my new film shot on my new Sony A7s II. Let me know what you think and feel free to ask any questions you might have!
Although there are many features on the A7S II for video professionals, good performance is also there for people like me who are primarily still photographers but would like to be able to capture high-quality video from time to time. The A7S II deals with changes in lighting conditions with ease and makes seamless changes to shutter speed and aperture. It also does a great job maintaining focus, even when recording moving objects or changing composition.

Firmware update Ver.1.10 for ILCE-7SM2
Sorry for the ignorance on this, but I don't know much about coloring and log footage. If I buy an a7sII and the new FS5 and shoot the same scene with both in s-log, should I be able to match them fairly closely just by dropping in the same LUT? assuming my exposure and WB and everything were set the same?
does a7s2 FF is more sharper than a7r2 S35 in video or not?
