Can i run a lense firmware update to the leica with a olympus body?
Shot with Nocticron hand held.
It’s endless fun to shoot with, and the results are almost effortlessly sharp, contrasty, and beautifully rendered. Perhaps most importantly, the bokeh is wonderful, smooth, and consistent from f/1.2 onward.

Whatever merits the Panasonic 42.5 has, it’s emotionally hard to get over the price. This lens is the most expensive I own, overtaking the Canon 400/5.6. At least with the Canon 400 you would expect to pay more for a super-telephoto and there are no cheaper options, whilst for the Panasonic 42.5 it’s hard to forget the Olympus 45 exists and is only a sixth of the price.
@joethepro Thanks!
Do you mean some kind of (physical) filter for diffusion? No, I've not. Just ND filters when needed.
@Odur Did you use any diffusion in front of the lens? Some of the lights look very soft and glowy. Looks great.
I have never used AF, not even with the 42.5mm. I find the manual focusing very fluid with this lens for now, I can't say the same for other lenses (maybe because they're also older?).
@Odur - the 42.5 looks like a great lens - did you use manual focus much? And how did you find it?
I really want that lens. Any problems with jitters while using the power ois?
Thak you. I'm not very expert with editing, but I've tried something more this time.
@odur - thoroughly enjoyed that! Some nice editing moments too
I'd like to share this video about a road trip I've made in December and January. Most of it has been shot with the 42.5mm F/1.2.
Anyone ? Is the lens focus by wire ?
Thank you, that's great news and what about focus ?
nocticron has manual aperture ring as well as electronic
