If this camera doesn't have you running to a new Nikon, or for the more adventurous, a new MFT camera, nothing will. What the heck?
Ask anyone in the Astro Photography world what camera to buy and they will say that Canon is the ONLY choice. They are also ALL BatSh!T crazy as well.
New 18 Megapixel sensor provides an increase of 6 Megapixels on its predecessor, and a slightly bigger 3 inch screen with a bump in the resolution to 460k dots. The T5 / 1200D can now shoot 1080p video and has the option to set movie exposure manually. There's also a free smartphone app packed with well-crafted interactive tutorials which will be useful to both beginners and those wanting to confirm certain features or controls.
The Canon EOS T5 is a baseline entry-level dSLR that surpassed our expectations on image quality. Canon has given it a great image sensor and processor but left out all of the extras to keep the price down. The performance was also good.

Image quality is decent for a DSLR. Noise is relatively low with good exposure and dynamic-range. Colors can be tuned well.
