The electronic viewfinder uses a 100% coverage, extra high resolution, 2,360K-dot High Definition LCD panel.
Looking good.
If OVF can have split screen and peaking feature, that sounds interesting. About video performance, my expectation is very low.
0.08s AF speed from ad
It's as sexy as the original X100.
I guess the digital split screen and the focus peaking features work only on LCD. But the LCD has only 460k.
How the digital split screen works and how cdaf/pdaf hybrid sensor works. This explains why the digital split screen can't display any color information.

X100 has become one of the most popular street photography cameras.

X100S has improved many shortcomings of X100. The removal of AA filter sounds great. Less digital sharpening would be more pleasing to eyes. Finally fast AF to capture the decisive moment. But its max shutter speed is still funky.
"1/4000sec at F/8 or smaller aperture"
I heard enabling ND filter or max aperture slows down the shutter speed a lot. I like Fuji color, but Fuji gears seem always funky. Then again why search for perfect gear where we are far from being perfect. Wabi-sabi. Deep DOF seems better for street photography, and X100S is expected to have insane high ISO performance better than X-Pro1's.
Another interesting feature is leaf shutter. There's nothing special about itself, but some people figured out how to overcome the slow sync speed. http://strobist.blogspot.com/2012/09/should-you-consider-ir-remote.html
Very good ISO performance from a relatively small body.

Cool cam. Really looking forward to the next generation of x-pro and x-e... Keeping my fingers crossed they will deliver OK video.
Unboxing & operation walkthrough
In Asia the price has already fallen below $1100. There are already some cases about defective bodies as usual.
