Related question, V, when you reinvent these GH cams and hack them, you never actually open the cams do you? You just patch in with USB or whatever right? It's purely code for you right? Or is this top secret info, and you'd have to kill me if you told me.

I just noticed there is a guy selling halfes of Zeiss lenses on Ebay. Here are two pics of 1/2 Distagon 15mm 1:2.8. He wants USD 4999 = EUR 3655 for it. The lens can be bought in shops for EUR 3200.
So is this a new business idea: Buy a lens, cut it in halves and sell the two halves for more than double the price?

I'm sure it isn't easy to cut them as kron mentioned above but a few thousand bucks a cut makes it seem quite profitable. The front glass seen in the second pic seems to have suffered in the operation.
