Very interesting documentary that ties the origin and demise of suburbia to cheap fossil fuel production. With fossil fuel production peaking and thus becoming more expensive so goes the American dream (highly overrated if you ask me) of suburban living. Some of the commentators argue that this will reverse globalization and increase the local production of energy and other goods. That seems like a step in the right direction and may help to revitalize an America which has become pretty slack as of late.
