The Taiwan Foreign Trade Development Board (TAITRA) has announced that it will not host Computex 2021 in its usual physical format. Despite the efforts of the organizers, the COVID-19 pandemic does not allow the event to be held in the form in which it was previously planned.
In December 2020, it was announced that the upcoming Computex should take place in regular face-to-face mode. A new statement from the organizers says the pandemic is preventing many participants and media representatives from taking part in the usual format of the event, so it makes no sense to hold it.
Nevertheless, the organizers of the exhibition are not going to completely cancel Computex 2021. The event is still scheduled to start on May 31, but the event itself will be digital.
