UTA fired Mandalorian actress Gina Carano after she compared the US political climate to the persecution of Jews in Germany after the Nazis came to power in the 1930s. Also, Lucasfilm studio refused to cooperate with the artist.
Carano published a post on social media in which she stated that Jews in Germany were beaten by their neighbors, not just Nazi soldiers." “Since history is reigning, many today do not understand that before Nazi soldiers began arresting Jews by the thousands, the government first made its own citizens hate them for being Jews. How is this different from hating someone because of their political views? " - asked the actress.
Lucasfilm said it had stopped working with Carano and would not consider working with the actress in the future.
Company representatives emphasized that Carano's posts on social networks, in which she “denigrates people based on their cultural characteristics or religious beliefs,” are unacceptable and disgusting.
Gina Carano is an American MMA fighter, also known for her role as former Rebel Alliance stormtrooper Cara Dune in the TV series The Mandalorian. The show is set in the universe of the Star Wars franchise.
