Chinese tech giant Huawei intends to implement liquid lens technology in its flagship gadgets as early as next year. Huawei is currently in the final stages of testing its liquid lens, which is expected to dramatically improve image stabilization and focusing time, thereby improving the visual experience for users. Focusing time will be reduced to a few milliseconds, according to a Chinese report. The goal of liquid lens technology is fast autofocus.
I see absolutely no way how liquid lens can help with stabilization and even about AF it is quite hard thing to do in very think multi lens smartphone assembly.
Main Huawei problem is that they are late to patent party, so they paid and paid for each and every camera feature to US and Japanese companies.
