I had been told that large online retailed had discussion with Canon top management about possible R5 and R6 recall due to heat problem.
Retailed wanted some financial warranties and clear letter from Canon how such procedure will go in case of such recall.
I do not know that Canon management responded, only know that retailer representative had been in extremely unhappy mood during talk after this discussion.
