DXOmark turned into total mess

    Issue is that DXOMark now lives only on money paid by smartphones manufacturers. Hence the mess.

  • Unfortunate that they didn't create a mobile camera dedicated website rather than mix the photo and mobile cams together.

    And that's a bizarre comparison article. The smartphones don't look anywhere close to the Panasonic S1R as they state.

    Big issue is also that they don't compare apples to apples.

    As most of smartphone images are stacked or merged images using at least 2 photos (nigh images can use up to 20). This is how progress is being made on smartphones. They also use extreme noise suppression killing real details.

    If you do same on any photo camera comparison will start to look very bad for smartphones.
