Some partners got info from AMD that top of the line cards will indeed slide in price from $599 to $549, and new info tell that discussion is now even about $499 now. As performance can only match RTX 3070 version with 16GB memory. Same as info above says.
AMD is not much interested in producing lot of GPUs, as margin Ryzen chiplets is around 3-4x compared to profit on top line GPU. Actually Ryzen 7nm CPUs chiplets profit set absolute records in the industry for wide used products.
For GPU AMD still can drop around 120-150$ from remaining margin on main GPU and around $40 from their part of GDDR6 margin (so it is around 30-40$ for PCB board, $20-30 cooling, AMD margin is around $200 total in card price).
AMD RDNA2 architecture and Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards will bring the best of Radeon to gamers worldwide. Learn more October 28.
