Soviet Era Documentary on Afghanistan war

    I'm trying to dig up a beautiful documentary film I saw years past, filmed in the Soviet Union portraying soldiers during the occupation of Afghanistan.

    I can't for the life of me remember the title, and can't seem to dig it up through searches - so hoping someone might be able to help.

    It is a slow-paced film, no narration, just simple, clean compositions of russian soldiers in between combat in Afghanistan. 4:3 format as I remember. Not much in music or dialogue either. Very quiet and beautiful film.

    Anybody have an idea?
