  • Considering womans at event announcement picture

Note how they are positioned - looking away from you and flying away.

It just means that item is so small that they have no interest and go.

  • So it has a regular 12MP 1/2.3-inch sensor. So why no 4K. It feels like an artificial limitation.

  • EspenB...

Yeah, I agree with you. 4K means forced upgrade to Mavic/Mavic Air/Mavic2/Phantom/Inspire, etc... That said, 1080p/60 and 2.7k/30 ain't all bad for a lot of applications, especially at the price point.

  • No D-Log, no manual control on camera, no 4k, limited to 40mbs.. bye bye.

  • The image quality looks bad

  • This will not work for most serious cinematographs. This small size is a wolf in sheep cloths, at best. Actually, not that smaller than a mavic2 ironically. It’s smaller, yes, but not in the degree of "Hay! By time... now I can bring my drone up on a mountain!". Because that already possible. This is not evolution. It’s a “new” marked that want us to believe that we can use this drone anywhere. It’s quite ingenious from a company perspective…

All this time DJI have “upgraded” all drones with even more strictly rules and regiments. Zones that can’t be flown, forbidden areas etc. Even though we already know that a commercial airline will fly straight through a Mavic, like a little bird in the sky. Not even noticed btw.

Are we supposed to believe that it’s NOT possible to make a small drone with high imagery capability’s? Of course not. Please DJI. Make a small PROFESSIONAL drone that demands “not retarded” license. Stop this nonsense.

  • It is very unfortunate to cripple the drone with Auto exposure, even a AE-Lock option could make it a pro tool.... Just like the 30fps restriction on the Spark.

  • It does have AE LOCK

  • New firmware released.

  • @fix The new EU regulations calls for drones to both have geofencing and remote ID. Afaik DJI has promoted geofencing for a long time allready.

  • @EspenB

Regulators are not idiots, they first worked with manufacturers and made this market extremely limited.

It had been horrible error to promote DJI consumer products, instead of open modular drones.

  • New firmware - 1.0.8

    • Added manual exposure function for movies
    • Added 2.7K 24fps and 1080p 24 / 48fps resolutions
    • Added manual adjustment of white balance
    • Improved download speed of photos and videos
    • Improved flight stability in specific use situations
    • Optimization of transmitter performance
