Make sure to stop using Chrome as browser
  • Chrome security team said https:// pages will only be able to load secure (https://) subresources.

Beginning with Chrome 79, Chrome will work towards blocking all mixed content by default. To smooth the process, it will introduced the change incrementally. In December, Chrome 79 will add a new setting to unblock mixed content on specific sites. In January 2020, Chrome 80 will autoupgrade all mixed audio and video resources to HTTPS, and it will automatically block them if they fail to load over HTTPS. Finally, in February 2020, Chrome 81 will autoupgrade all mixed images to HTTPS, and as with audio and video, block those that don't load over HTTPS.

Next step. As I told previously, they are implementing their plan step by step.
And Chinese great firewall will be looking like child toy after Google thing will be working.

According to Google, Chrome users now spend over 90 percent of their browsing time on HTTPS on all major platforms

And this is extremely bad, as 90% of certificates for this HTTPs are also provided by Google (via Lets Encrypt).

Most of the sites on Internet has zero purpose to use HTTPs or encryption at all outside some specific things.

Add here their move to proprietary encrypted DNS where it will be only special Google owned DNS services that will work with browser.

Such way Google will control each and every site using both certificate and DNS resolution, as well as record and store all their DNS requests.

At next step (already during 2020) they will start mass censorship of 'extremist" content as well as 'fake news".

Also remember that Google Chrome scans all your disks and send interesting files (this includes all major vendors software) info to Google under pretense of security. Google later secretly sells this info to software vendors. For now they do nothing, but it will change. Note that Microsoft is doing same with their Windows 10, if you are company it can have serious consequences already as all major vendors can use this data for legal prosecution.

Chrome 82, which will be released in April, will be the first version of Google's browser to warn users before allowing them to download certain insecure file types. In future releases, they'll be blocked outright.

April's release will only warn users when they try to download insecure executables -- such as .exe files -- since they pose the most risk for introducing malware into a system. Chrome will alert users to less dangerous types of insecure downloads on a rolling basis -- archive, text and image files will trigger warnings in future releases. By the end of the year, Chrome will do away with the warnings and outright block insecure downloads from websites that are otherwise using HTTPS.

It is NONE of the Google business to do such, and Goggle must be fully prohibited to distribute Chrome totally.

  • All mixed content downloads — a non-secure file coming from a secure site — will be blocked as of the release of Chrome 86. Right now, Google is estimating an October release for that build of the popular web browsing.

Some revolt is required to prevent Google to even release new Chrome versions.

Note that NEXT step will be preventing ANY file downloads via unsecure channels.

And NEXT step will be preventing giving certificates to anyone they don't like to fully prevent their site to be able to offer any downloads.

  • With Chrome 94, Google will introduce a feature called HTTPS-First Mode. Much like its Firefox counterpart, the tool will attempt to ensure you always connect to a website over HTTPS. When that’s not possible, Chrome will display a warning that you’re putting your privacy and security at risk. At first, users will need to turn on the feature, though Google says it may make it the default for everyone down the road.

They are building total censorship structure, and it is very last stages before they will make the final strike banning tens of thousands of sites.
