  • At the IBC show on September 13 there will be another livestream event. The Sony A7sII was announced at the 2015 IBC show. So “THEORETOCALLY” this could be a candidate for a possible A7sII successor announcement. But I have heard no rumor that would indicate this is the case. It’s a lot more likely Sony will announce new camcorders and maybe the FX9 FF E-mount camcorder too.

  • Irix say they will have the official introduction of the Irix Cine 150mm T3.0 Macro 1:1 lens at the show, as well as an unveiling of the brand new mystery lens.

"This is only the beginning of an epic Irix cine adventure. Exciting? Wait until you get to see, try, examine and talk to us about all of it. We will be there to share our excitement, answer all the questions and assist you in any way we can. Don’t forget that during the IBC you will be able to test BOTH new Irix cine lenses and see their work for yourself!" - Irix

  • Black Magic

Following Grant Petty's live stream to kick off our first day of IBC 2019, we're excited to announce that Blackmagic Design has today unveiled a host of new products.

The Video Assist 12G is an update to our popular field monitor and recording solutions. Available as 5" and 7" models, they feature a HDR screen, four built in scopes, upgraded batteries, 12G-SDI and native Blackmagic RAW recording from supported cameras. These will be available in September 2019 from US$795.

Blackmagic RAW 1.5 is here. This new update adds plugins that support editing native Blackmagic RAW files in Adobe Premiere Pro and Avid Media Composer. It also includes benchmarking tool Blackmagic RAW Speed Test, which is now on Mac, Windows and Linux for the first time. Blackmagic RAW 1.5 is now available for download from the Blackmagic website.

The ATEM Mini is a low cost live production switcher specifically designed to allow live streaming to YouTube and business presentations via Skype. Features include a miniature control panel based design and 4 independent HDMI inputs making professional multi-cam productions easy. This will be available in November 2019 for US$295.

The Videohub Master Control Pro is our newly designed router control panel that allows spin knob scrolling of all router sources and destinations as well as direct button entry of any router crosspoint. Available in November 2019 for US$695.

And to conclude, our new URSA Broadcast Update adds Blackmagic RAW support, as well as improved sensor response on URSA Broadcast cameras, resulting in better color fidelity and cleaner images. Image gain controls can now be adjusted in 1/3 stop increments for finer control to get cleaner images with less noise. Available in November 2019 for download on the Blackmagic website.
