Adobe is pulling all old app versions from the cloud
  • It seems Adobe will pull all old versions of applications that can use video data in any way (even Photoshop,...) from the cloud and makes it clear, that users that continue to use them will get into legal trouble. Reason: third party licenses.

I wonder if all this is again because of Cinema DNG and RAW video formats (e.g. Photoshop can work with CDNG).

  • Please note that going forward, Creative Cloud customers will only have direct download access (from the Creative Cloud Desktop app and Adobe.com) to the two most recent major versions of Creative Cloud desktop applications.*

I think they just help many people to be more accustomed with torrents :-) Can be useful before further price hikes.

  • Yup, the direct download links for 2017 & earlier https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2017-direct-download-links.html all lead to Adobe and are dead. CS6's Encore (which I still have to use for some clients) is listed as discontinued: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/discontinued-products.html which must be new, since I added it to a new install recently.

Well, start learning search engined other than Google and such.

Start to learn torrents sources :-) To have access to same old versions, in improved form.

  • Adobe recently discontinued certain older versions of Creative Cloud applications. Customers using those versions have been notified that they are no longer licensed to use them and were provided guidance on how to upgrade to the latest authorized versions.

Unfortunately, customers who continue to use or deploy older, unauthorized versions of Creative Cloud may face potential claims of infringement by third parties. We cannot comment on claims of third-party infringement, as it concerns ongoing litigation.

Adobe is in the midst of a lawsuit with Dolby and has accused Adobe of copyright infringement and breach of contract, which could be the reason why past versions of Creative Cloud apps are now restricted.

Another famous patent troll. Who lives from licensing and have strong lawyers team.

  • @Vitaliy_Kiselev or just save your installers from those links, if you think you'll need them in the future!

Next small step will be that all old versions won't activate and work properly if you install them.
