  • I would support a referendum in California that all phones should have user replaceable batteries.

    You mean that in California they will sell only "RCA SuperbConsumer 4" model for $49,99 only?

    Batteries must be not only user replaceable - they must have only few standard sizes with standard connectors.
    Any attempt of any company to add custom battery monitoring or protection must be considered major crime similar to pedophilia.

    But all this is fairy tales. Even laws made initially to do similar things where never actually implemented in real life.
