As you can see, Intel is more and more focused to sale to corporation and their data centers, most sales go to few largest corporations only.
Main investors of the same corporations stand behind "you don't need desktop" mantra, as they want obedient information consumers, users of their streaming services and buyers of smartphones that have around 10x margins. Owning desktop does not help ruling class, as unnecessary expenses of such people drop. Even if you get desktop they finance "gaming only" narrative, all media owned by them are pushing this narrative.
Desktop processors sales again dropped 6% YoY, yet using price rise at 11% in average they got in plus.
Note that with server processors they did not rise prices, despite 13% increase of number of processors shipped to huge corporations.
