China’s plan to judge each of its 1.3 billion people based on their social behavior is moving a step closer to reality, with Beijing set to adopt a lifelong points program by 2021 that assigns personalized ratings for each resident.
The capital city will pool data from several departments to reward and punish some 22 million citizens based on their actions and reputations by the end of 2020, according to a plan posted on the Beijing municipal government’s website on Monday. Those with better so-called social credit will get “green channel” benefits while those who violate laws will find life more difficult.
The Beijing project will improve blacklist systems so that those deemed untrustworthy will be “unable to move even a single step,” according to the government’s plan. Xinhua reported on the proposal Tuesday, while the report posted on the municipal government’s website is dated July 18.
Capitalists always try to invent something to stay in power (including calling themselves communists) :-) And such system normally end up with their authors hanging on the trees (I guess it is crime to say such in China).
From atrocious communists to radicals and hungry capitalists, nothing could go wrong...
That reminds me a little of the premise of 'In Time' from Andrew Niccol.
Shit got balistic with this one. China Is very strange place for human race. Still humans are odly happy with explotation and abuse, like if it would be programmed under their skin.
So you make one mistake, you are done. Exelent way to send to hell millions of people.
I wonder... The More humans you've got, the More Inhuman ruling class must be. The jackpot of motherfuckers.
Is This Is the way of the real beast?
This is why I always ask you to read. As otherwise you are subject to stamps and "common knowledge" stuff that has little use.
The More humans you've got, the More Inhuman ruling class must be.
Just the more humans you have - the more ruling class want to rely to machines, as it is small and becoming smaller still. Social rating idea is complex one - from one side it is clearly partly progressive as even on any big capitalist marketplace you have similar approach allowing you to filter out parasites and tricksters, from other side all of it's good sides can become partly useful tool only in the hands of the people, proletariat.
The day only machines grow, no more thrive, long gone Will the human race be.
