Question: What dictates if a camera's firmware can be hacked or not?
  • idk if this topic is appropriate for this forum, because I haven't been on this site for long, but I was wondering, how come only Canon and Panasonic have hacks for their cameras? How come Nikon, Sony, etc doesn't have hacks? Is this due to a type programming limitation? It is because of the manufacturers? Is it hardware limitations?

  • Nikon firmware had been decrypted recently, so may be it'll have a hack.

    Sony firmware is encrypted.
