It's the end of the world...maybe. Complex Systems, inequality, last days of Rome
  • The political economist Benjamin Friedman once compared modern Western society to a stable bicycle whose wheels are kept spinning by economic growth. Should that forward-propelling motion slow or cease, the pillars that define our society – democracy, individual liberties, social tolerance and more would begin to teeter. Our world would become an increasingly ugly place, one defined by a scramble over limited resources and a rejection of anyone outside of our immediate group. Should we find no way to get the wheels back in motion, we’d eventually face total societal collapse.

  • Most fun thing that it is now most common capitalist prostitutes (aka journalists and analytics) song.

Under this scenario, elites push society toward instability and eventual collapse by hoarding huge quantities of wealth and resources, and leaving little or none for commoners who vastly outnumber them yet support them with labour. Eventually, the working population crashes because the portion of wealth allocated to them is not enough, followed by collapse of the elites due to the absence of labour.

I even can't imagine how deep you must be in business of licking elites anus to write this.

As soon as you remove capitalism and this prostitutes as something untouchable and immortal whole construction falls.

You can just get North Korea who is in almost complete blockage, has tiny amount of good land and almost no usable resources. They have hard life, but this life is not the shit prostitutes try to promote.

  • Sorry, I don't get your point, the article is no endorsement of capitalism. If anything, it implies a socialist argument.

  • @brianl

    Just read carefully.

My point is that I saw big amount of same articles. And no, it is not "socialist argument". It is just product of rats running in circles on the top deck of, as they think, sinking ship.
